Catching up...
Last weekend was pretty significant overall. Steve Corino was at the Carolina Sports Arena which indirectly led to pretty much the worst night professionally of my career, but in the grander scheme of things it wasn't too bad. Corino & Ricky Landell are total pros and an asset any promotion any time they can be utilized. Yamaha and Matty Dee had a fine little entertaining bout but between the RCW show the next night and my general mental sluggishness from the last six or so months, my mind was pretty much elsewhere.
I felt RCW on Sunday was actually a great show and have heard some good remarks about it from others as well. I definitely think we accomplished what we wanted to accomplish with KC McKnight, Houston/Ryan and the girls match. The card overall I felt ended up stacked nicely and I was pleased with everyone's work and effort. Too bad the Playas & the Madd Trucker couldn't be with us, but real life interferes sometimes. On the note, I want to publically apologize (again) to the Trucker for a remark I made that got taken way out of context. I think the misunderstanding was cleared that up in Hendersonville, which I am thankful for because I've got nothing but respect for the Trucker.
This past Saturday brought us CWF's debut in Henderson at the Raleigh Road Drive-In which I thought went just fine. About what you'd expect in terms of crowd, content and atmosphere. I did however pop off some great lines on the crowd which I will undoubtedly recycle later for TV because, well, I'm not that creative. Pre and post show festivities with Yamanutts, Stat, Katie, the McAllisters and Paul were pretty good stuff with Yamaha absolutely dying to do something crazy but there really being nothing special or particularly dangerous on the itenerary so we more or less settled in to asking inquisitive online-quiz type questions in a roundtable setting, which was thoroughly entertaining. Favorite people to work with, favorite matches ever, favorite short-lived gimmick type stuff. I always dig those because I'm the type of cat who digs learning more about those near him generally speaking.
In the spirit of random questions, I give you Stuttsy's list of the saddest songs ever:
The Baby by Blake Shelton
All These Years by Sawyer Brown
What Might Have Been by Little Texas
I Can't Make You Love Me by Bonnie Raitt
And conversely, Stuttsy's list of songs that just make me happy:
Hanginaround by Counting Crows
Hey Ya by Outkast
Got Your Money by Ol' Dirty Bastard
Take Me On by A-Ha
More randomness~! Top five favorite females in wrestling:
Trish Stratus, present

Missy Hyatt, 1986

Sunny, 1995-1998

Fallen Angel, aka Woman, 1986

Beulah McGillicutty, 1995-1998
More randomness and a bitching rant about how things aren't as good as they used to be coming later on.
